Town Councillors are summoned to attend the Meeting of Handforth Town Council (HTC) on Tuesday 08th September 2026 at 7:30pm at The Youth Centre, Old Road, Handforth.
An audio recording of the meeting will be taken and provided upon request to the Town Clerk.

Part A
26/24/1 To receive apologies for absence.
26/24/2 To note Declarations of interest and requests for dispensation to discuss or discuss and vote on a matter in which a member or co-opted Member has a Disclosable Pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest (DPI).
26/24/3 Open Forum- Comment and questions concerning items on this agenda may be put to the Council by the public during this period. Matters which, in the Chair’s view require debate and/or a discussion will be referred to the next Committee/Council meeting, as appropriate. Items not pertaining to the agenda may also be taken at this time at the Chair’s discretion. The Public Forum is restricted to 15 minutes and strictly 3 minutes per person unless the Chair allows otherwise.
26/24/4 To approve and sign the minutes of the Extra Ordinary Handforth Town Council meeting of 08th September 2026.
26/24/5 To approve and sign the order of payments for October 2026.
26/24/6 To approve the order of receipts for September 2026.
26/24/7 To receive a report from Handforth’s PCSO’s.
26/24/8 MOTION: To receive and accept the External Auditors report for financial year end 25/26.
26/24/9 MOTION: For all HTC members to consider any projects which they might wish to undertake in the next financial year, these to be approved at the October HTC meeting with a view to inclusion in the 27/28 financial year budget. Budget to be set in November 2026 along with any necessary adjustment to the precept to reflect these projects. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/24/10 To receive notices and correspondence.
- To receive an update from the recent meeting with Handforth Garden Village Representatives.
- To note Remembrance Sunday will take place on 08th November 2026.
- To note The Handforth Christmas Light Switch on will take place on 21st
- To note this year’s children’s pantomime production of Aladdin will take place on 27th November 2026.
26/24/11 To agree the date of the next HTC Full Council meeting to be held on 10th November 2026 at 7:30pm.
PART B
Public Bodies Admission to Meetings Act 1960. Exclusion of press and public due to the business of the meeting being of a confidential and personal nature.
26/24/12 MOTION: To agree the additional renumeration of the caretaker for the backdated 26/27 salary
increase awarded by NALC following final agreement by NALC and the Union in August 2026.
And to agree this new NJC position as per the caretakers TUPE (SCP 4).
26/24/13 MOTION: To agree the additional renumeration of the clerk for the backdated 26/27 salary
increase awarded by NALC following final agreement by NALC and the Union in August 2026.
In addition to an employment review conducted by ChALC in September 2026 which recommends an increase in SCP from currently SCP 33 to SCP Range 37 to 41 And to agree a new NJC position as per the clerk’s contract of employment (SCP 37 to 41).
