Town Councillors are summoned to attend the Meeting of Handforth Town Council (HTC) on Tuesday 08th September 2026 at 6:00pm at The Youth Centre, Old Road, Handforth.
An audio recording of the meeting will be taken and provided upon request to the Town Clerk.

26/21/1 To receive apologies for absence.
26/21/2 To note Declarations of interest and requests for dispensation to discuss or discuss and vote on a matter in which a member or co-opted Member has a Disclosable Pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest (DPI).
26/21/3 Open Forum- Comment and questions concerning items on this agenda may be put to the Council by the public during this period. Matters which, in the Chair’s view require debate and/or a discussion will be referred to the next Committee/Council meeting, as appropriate. Items not pertaining to the agenda may also be taken at this time at the Chair’s discretion. The Public Forum is restricted to 15 minutes and strictly 3 minutes per person unless the Chair allows otherwise.
26/21/4 To approve and sign the minutes of the Extra Ordinary Handforth Town Council meeting of 11th August 2026.
26/21/5 To approve and sign the order of payments for September 2026.
26/21/9 To approve the order of receipts for August 2026.
26/21/10 To receive any update from Handforth CEC Ward Members.
26/21/11 To receive a report from Handforth’s PCSO’s.
26/21/12 MOTION: To adopt the new HTC Model Publication Scheme including FOI policy, Guide to Information and Schedule of Fees. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/21/13 MOTION: To consider the purchase of a multimedia advertising board, such as that purchased
by the Friends of Handforth Station, to be bought by the Town Council to advertise its events
Content and location(s) to be determined. Up to a maximum of £500.00.

26/21/14 MOTION: For all HTC members to consider any projects which they might wish to undertake in the next financial year, these to be approved at the October HTC meeting with a view to inclusion in the 27/28 financial year budget. Budget to be set in November 2026 along with any necessary adjustment to the precept to reflect these projects. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/21/15 MOTION: To review a grant application received to support a “Tribute to Bill Shenton Day” to be held in the Paddock on Saturday 26th September. Grant Requested £1,500.00.
26/21/16 MOTION: MOTION: To review and agree the room hire price list for Handforth Youth & Community Centre up to December 2027, to be implemented from 01st January 2027. (Community Centre Working Group Members).
26/21/17 MOTION: To consider replacing the second bench in Henbury Road park which has now become damaged beyond repair. (HTC replaced the first bench circa 2 years ago). The bench would have to be the same specific design required by CEC parks (Warick 1800 design) up to a maximum value of £850.00. (Cllr Harrison).
26/21/18 MOTION: In preparation for Martyn’s Law being introduced in April 2027, to consider the implementation of new access controls for Handforth Community & Youth Centre up to a maximum value of £1,200.00. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/21/19 To receive notices and correspondence.
26/21/20 To agree the date of the next HTC Full Council meeting to be held on 13th October 2026 at 7:30pm.
