Town Councillors are summoned to attend the Meeting of Handforth Town Council (HTC) on Tuesday 13th January 2026 at 7:30pm at The Youth Centre, Old Road, Handforth.
An audio recording of the meeting will be taken and provided upon request to the Town Clerk.

PART A
26/03/1 To receive apologies for absence.
26/03/2 To note Declarations of interest and requests for dispensation to discuss or discuss and vote on a matter in which a member or co-opted Member has a Disclosable Pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest (DPI).
26/03/3 Open Forum- Comment and questions concerning items on this agenda may be put to the Council by the public during this period. Matters which, in the Chair’s view require debate and/or a discussion will be referred to the next Committee/Council meeting, as appropriate. Items not pertaining to the agenda may also be taken at this time at the Chair’s discretion. The Public Forum is restricted to 15 minutes and strictly 3 minutes per person unless the Chair allows otherwise.
26/03/4 To approve and sign the minutes of the Handforth Town Council meeting of 09th December 2025.
26/03/5 To approve and sign the order of payments for January 2026.
26/03/6 To receive a report from the PCSO.
26/03/7 To receive any report from Handforth CE ward councillors.
26/03/8 MOTION: To appoint any councillor to Town Council committees, working groups and other available roles.
26/03/9 MOTION: To review the data protection information sent by HTC’s newly appointed Data Protection Officer and adopt any new data protection policies required. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/03/10 To receive any update from the communications working group. (Cllr Peter Moore).
26/03/11 To receive notices and correspondence.
26/03/12 To agree the date of the next HTC Full Council meeting to be held on 10th February 2026 at 7:00pm.
PART B
Public Bodies Admission to Meetings Act 1960. Exclusion of press and public due to the business of the meeting being of a confidential and personal nature.
26/03/13 MOTION: To discuss possible defamation and harassment of HTC councillors & officers, receipt of malicious electronic communications and to approve reporting this to the police and the CE Monitoring Officer and to potentially instruct solicitors to act on behalf of HTC to order a resident to cease and desist and to instruct any additional legal action required.
