Town Councillors are summoned to attend the Meeting of Handforth Town Council (HTC) on Tuesday 14th July 2026 at 7:30pm at The Youth Centre, Old Road, Handforth.
An audio recording of the meeting will be taken and provided upon request to the Town Clerk.
Agenda
26/18/1 To receive apologies for absence.
26/18/2 To note Declarations of interest and requests for dispensation to discuss or discuss and vote on a matter in which a member or co-opted Member has a Disclosable Pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest (DPI).
26/18/3 Open Forum- Comment and questions concerning items on this agenda may be put to the Council by the public during this period. Matters which, in the Chair’s view require debate and/or a discussion will be referred to the next Committee/Council meeting, as appropriate. Items not pertaining to the agenda may also be taken at this time at the Chair’s discretion. The Public Forum is restricted to 15 minutes and strictly 3 minutes per person unless the Chair allows otherwise.
26/18/4 To approve and sign the minutes of the Handforth Town Council meeting of 09th June 2026.
26/18/5 To approve and sign the order of payments for July & August 2026.
26/18/6 To approve the order of receipts for June 2026.
26/18/7 To receive a report from the PCSO.
26/18/8 MOTION: To appoint a Construction Design Management Advisor to assist the Town Council
during the tender Process for the refurbishment of Handforth Youth Centre the CDM will also
act on behalf of the Town Council once a principal contractor has been appointed.
The allocation of budget for this was agreed under item 26/10/10. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/18/9 MOTION: To consider the purchase of raised bollards to be installed at the entrance to
Handforth Community & Youth Centre to replace the gate but make access possible for
both users of the Community Centre and Scout Hut. Allow a budget of up to £2,500.00
to be used from currently held CIL monies. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/18/10 MOTION: To consider the purchase of a multimedia advertising board, such as that purchased
by the Friends of Handforth Station, to be bought by the Town Council to advertise its events
with a view to installation at Handforth Library. Up to a maximum of £500.00. (Cllr Small).
26/18/11 MOTION: For all HTC members to consider any projects which they might wish to undertake in the next financial year, these to be approved at the September HTC meeting with a view to inclusion in the 26/27 financial year budget. Budget to be set in October 2025 along with any necessary adjustment to the precept to reflect these projects. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/18/12 To receive an update from the Communications working group. (Cllrs Peter Moore & Harrison).
26/18/13 To consider any highways issue in Handforth. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/18/14 To receive notices and correspondence.
- Update from the Handforth Parks & Open Spaces Group.
- Update on the installation of the new Building Management System at Handforth
Community & Youth Centre.
26/18/15 To agree the date of the next HTC Full Council meeting to be held on 08th September 2026 at 7:00pm.
