Town Councillors are summoned to attend the Meeting of Handforth Town Council (HTC) on Tuesday 14th April 2026 at 7:30pm at The Youth Centre, Old Road, Handforth.
An audio recording of the meeting will be taken and provided upon request to the Town Clerk.

26/10/1 To receive apologies for absence.
26/10/2 To note Declarations of interest and requests for dispensation to discuss or discuss and vote on a matter in which a member or co-opted Member has a Disclosable Pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest (DPI).
26/10/3 Open Forum- Comment and questions concerning items on this agenda may be put to the Council by the public during this period. Matters which, in the Chair’s view require debate and/or a discussion will be referred to the next Committee/Council meeting, as appropriate. Items not pertaining to the agenda may also be taken at this time at the Chair’s discretion. The Public Forum is restricted to 15 minutes and strictly 3 minutes per person unless the Chair allows otherwise.
26/10/4 To approve and sign the minutes of the Handforth Town Council meeting of 10th March 2026.
26/10/5 To approve and sign the order of payments for April 2026.
26/10/6 To receive a report from the PCSO.
26/10/7 MOTION: To sign section 1 – the annual governance statement 2025/26 of the year end 31st March 2026 Annual return.
26/10/8 MOTION: To sign section 2 – the accounting statements 2025/26 of the year end 31st March 2026 Annual return.
26/10/9 MOTION: To continue HTC’s monthly funding support to Hope Central up to £125.00/ month. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/10/10 MOTION: To begin the official tender process for the required refurbishments to Handforth Community & Youth Centre as highlighted in the Building Survey report from April 2024 and to potentially install solar and heat pumps along with any additional energy and water saving technologies as budget allows. The tender will be up to a maximum guaranteed price of £250,000.00 to be drawn from agreed PWLB monies agreed under min ref: 25/21/10. Plus, any grant awards and available CIL monies which HTC holds. Amounts to also include associated legal fees and CDM advisor to HTC. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/10/11 MOTION: To agree a formal proposal from Transition Wilmslow to allow Transition Wilmslow to place an additional storage container on the HCYC site and operate a tool library from the storage container, agreeing any insurance provision is at Transition Wilmslow’s risk. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/10/12 To provide an update on the Summer Armed Forces Day event for Handforth. (Cllr Edwards-Beech).
26/10/13 MOTION: To receive recommendation from the HTC finance committee and agree a grant application received from Rainbow Pre School Nursery. Grant requested £1,000.00 (Grant Liaison members).
26/10/14 MOTION: To review and agree a Town Council initiative to reduce fly tipping locally, either
through a number of community skip days or collection of large items by a third party and
to agree an amount to be allocated from the “Other Social / Community Support” budget line.

26/10/15 MOTION: To agree the purchase of additional CEC ranger time to assist HTC with its major events to be held in 2026 up to a maximum of £1,000.00. (Cllr Susan Moore).
26/10/16 To receive an update from the Communications working group. (Cllrs Peter Moore & Harrison).
26/10/17 To receive notices and correspondence.

26/10/18 To confirm the date for the Annual Town Meeting for Handforth to be held on Tuesday 28th April 2026 at 6:00pm.
26/10/19 To agree the date of the HTC Annual General Meeting (AGM) to be held on 12th May 2026 at 6:45pm.
26/10/20 To agree the date of the next HTC Full Council meeting to be held on 12th May 2026 at 7:30pm.
