Town Councillors are summoned to attend the Meeting of Handforth Town Council (HTC) on Tuesday 10th September 2024 at 7:30pm at The Youth Centre, Old Road, Handforth.
An audio recording of the meeting will be taken and provided upon request to the Town Clerk.

24/18/1 To receive apologies for absence.
24/18/2 To note Declarations of interest and requests for dispensation to discuss or discuss and vote on a matter in which a member or co-opted Member has a Disclosable Pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest (DPI).
24/18/3 Open Forum- Comment and questions concerning items on this agenda may be put to the Council by the public during this period. Matters which, in the Chair’s view require debate and/or a discussion will be referred to the next Committee/Council meeting, as appropriate. Items not pertaining to the agenda may also be taken at this time at the Chair’s discretion. The Public Forum is restricted to 15 minutes and strictly 3 minutes per person unless the Chair allows otherwise.
24/18/4 To approve and sign the minutes of the Handforth Town Council Finance Committee meeting of 16th July 2024.
24/18/5 To approve and sign the minutes of the Handforth Town Council meeting of 16th July 2024.
24/18/6 To approve and sign the order of payments for August & September 2024.
24/18/7 To receive a report from the PCSO.
24/18/8 To receive a report from the Chair of the Town Council.
24/18/9 To receive any reports from Handforth Ward Councillors.
24/18/10 MOTION: To appoint any councillor to Town Council committees, working groups and other available roles.
24/18/11 MOTION: To consider a grant application from the Residents of Oakmere for the purchase of a new karaoke machine and to provide entertainment evenings for the whole community. Grant requested: £1,000.00. (Grant Liaison Members).
24/18/12 MOTION: To produce a brief newsletter to be distributed to all households in Handforth covering work completed by the Town Council during the last year and to publicise dates for HTC events during the latter half of 2024 Up to a maximum value of £1,500.00. (Cllr Susan Moore).
24/18/13 MOTION: To agree to the cost of appointing a tree chainsaw sculptor to create an art tree carving on the recently fallen tree on Hampson Crescent up to a maximum value of £1,500.00. (Cllr Susan Moore).
24/18/14 MOTION: To agree to submit the responses gained from the HTC Library Service survey to the CE libraries consultation 2024; and to formally approve the draft heads of terms received by HTC for up to £14,000.00 per annum for top us services to be provided by HTC (rising in line with wages / tax / pensions costs over the next three years) as agreed by HTC under minute reference 24/16/17. 24/18/15 MOTION: To support residents of Oakmere against the closure, by Cheshire East Council of the on-site restaurant. (Cllr Chapman).
24/18/16 To receive notices and correspondence. – To note that the Town Council has purchased and installed new orienteering markers in Meriton Road Park reinstating the original course which has degraded over time.
24/18/17 To agree the date of the next HTC Full Council meeting to be held on 08th October 2024.
