Town Councillors are summoned to attend the Meeting of Handforth Town Council (HTC) on Tuesday 10^th June 2025 at 7:00pm at The Youth Centre, Old Road, Handforth.

An audio recording of the meeting will be taken and provided upon request to the Town Clerk.

25/15/1           To receive apologies for absence.

 

25/15/2           To note Declarations of interest and requests for dispensation to discuss or discuss and vote on a matter in which a member or co-opted Member has a Disclosable Pecuniary or non-pecuniary interest (DPI).

 

25/15/3           Open Forum- Comment and questions concerning items on this agenda may be put to the Council by the public during this period. Matters which, in the Chair’s view require debate and/or a discussion will be referred to the next Committee/Council meeting, as appropriate. Items not pertaining to the agenda may also be taken at this time at the Chair’s discretion. The Public Forum is restricted to 15 minutes and strictly 3 minutes per person unless the Chair allows otherwise.

 

25/15/4           To approve and sign the minutes of the Handforth Town Council Annual meeting of 13^th May 2025.

 

25/15/5           To approve and sign the minutes of the Handforth Town Council meeting of 13^th May 2025.

 

25/15/6           To note the minutes of the Annual Town meeting for Handforth held on 29^th April 2025.

 

25/15/7           To approve and sign the order of payments for June 2025.

 

25/15/8           To receive a report from the PCSO.

 

25/15/9           To receive a report from Handforth CE Ward Councillors.

 

25/15/10         To consider a grant application received from Residents of Valley Drive / Kenilworth Avenue to create “Valley Village Gardens” on the land off Kenilworth Avenue. Grant requested £1,000.00. (Grant Liaison Members).

 

25/15/11         MOTION: To discuss the replacement of two dilapidated benches on the Land East of Henbury Road with up to two new benches (Street Master) up to a maximum value of £2,000.00 plus VAT plus delivery charges. (Item deferred from the previous meeting).

 

25/15/12         MOTION: To agree HTC’s response regarding two proposed traffic regulation adjustments in Handforth Ward, as part of the new cycling facility initiative:

 

1. Introduction of no waiting at waiting at any time: To improve traffic flow and safety, we are considering extending no waiting restrictions at certain locations on the attached plan.

 

1. Revocation of the 40mph speed limit to 30mph: to enhance road safety, particularly for pedestrians and cyclists, and create a more conductive environment for cycling, we propose reducing the limit from 40mph to 30mph on specified roads on the attached plan.

 

25/15/13         To receive an update from the Communications working group. (Cllrs Peter Moore & Harrison).

 

25/15/14         To receive notices and correspondence.

 

25/15/15         To agree the date of the next HTC Full Council meeting to be held on 15^th July 2025 at 7:30pm.
